FAQs:
How do your lessons work?
Most of our lessons are based off of a recurring-lesson basis. When you select a class, instructor, day of the week, and time, you lock yourslef into that spot indefinitely (or at least until we have a season schedule change). This is true for private lessons, baby & me classes, and swim teams. You can also book individual (non-recurring) private lessons at any time. During the Summer, we also offer an everyday Swim Team and 1-Week Camps (Groups).
Do you offer make-up lessons?
We offer make-up lessons for excused absenses for our group lessons. For private lessons scheduled on a recurring basis, with advanced notice you are able to cancel private bookings and receive a credit for lessons that will be missed.
Can I cancel?
Yes. You can cancel. We do require a 24-hour notice for private lessons. For Swim Team, Pre-Swim Team, Groups, Parent Tot, and Baby & Me classes we require a 15-day drop notice.
Where are you located?
We have mulitple locations. Our primary location is at Kia Ora Fitness in Kennewick. This location is in operation year-round. We currently have 2 other outdoor locations in Richland and West Richland that hold private and semi-private lessons only in the Summer months. Please be sure that you are headed to the right location for your lesson. You can find more information on our locations page here.
What is your pricing?
We offer a lot of different types of swim lessons that are priced differently. 20-minute private lessons cost $30 per lesson. 30-minute private lessons cost $45 per lesson. For any special request, please either check out our pricing page here for more information or email us at info@splashnswimschool.com
What should I bring to lessons?
Make sure you bring a swimsuit, towel, goggles if preferred, proper swim diapers if applicable. If you lessons are outside, bring water and sunscreen. If at our indoor location, some kids do better with a wetsuit (especially in the winter). All of our locations have a changing room so bring a change of clothes if preferred.
If it's your first lesson, just make your way to the pool and someone will be there ready to get you taken care of.
Should I do 20-minute or 30-minute lessons?
We strive to make every minute of our lessons valuable and impactful for our students so anything helps. In general, younger students (ages 0-4) may do better in a shorter, 20-minute lesson, while the older children (5+) may benefit more from a longer lesson. But any time in lessons is beneficial, regardless of age or level.
How often should I do lesssons?
Most of our lessons are set up to be recurring on a weekly basis. The once-per-week structure is great for consistant, steady progress. If customers want to have lessons more than once per week, they can sign up for more. In the Summer, we offer different everyday options you can check out here.
How do I pay?
Lessons are billed monthly on the 20th day of the previous month. For example, lessons taking place in May will be charged on April 20th.
While first signing up, customers will pay for the remainder of the current month's lessons, plus the next month's lessons upon checkout.
We do have certain programs during the Summer where lessons are paid for upfront including the Summer Swim Team and 1-Week Camps.
What if my child is not potty trained?
If your child is not potty trained, we require BOTH a reusable, snap-style diaper AND a disposable diaper with a swimsuit over the top. If your child defecates in the pool, a fine of $250 will be charged.
